Hello Mama!

The Pacific Northwest has kept us on the edge of our seats waiting for Summer to begin but with the kiddos out of school and all of this sunshine, we can't help but get excited.  How are you getting ready for the hottest time of the year?

 Our guest speaker this month is Josie Ball, she has a list of credentials that is very impressive and she did not let us down.  "Wow!", is all I can say after learning about all the natural approaches to ailments for both mama and baby.  She talks about teething, mastitis, thrush, diaper rash and more.  She also makes great recommendations for books and companies that sell products but the majority of the remedies are things that most of us already have in our pantry.  You do not want to miss this one, PLUS, I have included her notes from the talk in the blog/video post so you can easily see the incredible information that is covered in this month's Guest Speaker Interview.

Melissa guides us on how to strengthen our core with some Mama Moves.  She shares her Top 3 Core Exercises for both pregnant and postpartum mamas and includes a simple breakfast recipethat is quick and delicious.  Finally, we encourage you mamas to stay hydrated!  Choosing cooling foods with a high water content is a great way to stay ahead of the curve and bring balance to your body.  Load up on the Celery, Melons, Citrus and Coconut products.

Tracy has years of experience teaching people to cook and gain confidence in the kitchen.  Her focus in on cultivating happiness through mindful nutrition. As a retreat leader, she is passionate about finding ways to incorporate meditation and ritual into people's lives in an easy and approachable way.

She is currently working on her certification in Alchemical Herbalism and the Art of Tarot.
